You would never Guess

I stood proud and tall. As a Shetland pony, I was used to being small. Whenever I had a chance, I always tried to look tall. “Hey look at that Shetland pony over there!” yelled a voice. “That’s no Shetland! It looks more like a welsh!” another voice yelled back. “Well I think it looks like a Shetland.” called back the first voice. I nickered. “Hey Mango! Looks like you got them all confused.” whispered my stable mate, Gigi. I laughed and looked at the men. “Kelsey wants a Welsh so let’s buy that one.” said one man, pointing to me. “Gigi! I got a home!” I whinnied. Gigi nickered a reply and then my new owners led me away. I rode for two hours in a hot trailer. When I was finally unloaded, a girl ran up to me. She burst into a fit of giggles. “Daddyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!” the girl said. “What is Kelsey?” said one of the men. “This is a pregnant Shetland pony mare!” giggled Kelsey. “Really? I’m sorry! I would have never guessed! She’s skinny and she looked tall!”
