Knight of Dragonthia
By microphone and Black Mist age 11

This is a tale about a brave girl who sets out on her horse with men to fight their enemies.
_______

The Land of Dragonthia was in danger. The Molonthians wanted the land for themselves, and hated the Dragonthians. What Dragonthia needed now, was a horse. A cavalry. An army of horses and riders to over power the footmen of Molonthia. But for that, they needed to go to Earth. They needed to send one person to Earth, and that person needed to be a girl. Patricia Thomson was chosen. She was given a billion dollars in Earth Money. A Guard escorted her to Teleportation Rock. She placed her hand on the rock, muttered ‘Earth’ and was gone.

Patricia was dizzy as she landed in a back alley. ‘Well, better get my job done quickly,’ she thought, and headed towards the first stable she saw. She examined the horses. Several were bay or black, some were grey and others brown and chestnut. “Sir,” she said, ready, “Can I buy all these horses?” “How much you got? I don’t care ‘bout these nags no more.” “I’ll offer $100,000. Are we agreed?” “Yes,” Patricia handed the man the money and jumped on her favorite horse, a chestnut mare with a star and four white feet. She went to the next stable, and the next. Her herd of horses grew bigger and bigger.
Patricia traveled to the next two towns until she had a couple thousand horses. Then she returned the back alley and wished she were in Dragonthia. As she did so, she held onto her mare which was tied to all the other horses.
The Guards felt a sudden urge to move backwards so something big could come through. They did so just in time. Five thousand horses and a girl came barreling out of the rock. The girl was grinning.

The Guards and the girl went home triumphantly. The girl was as stately as a queen. She rode her mare, which she had called Knight, up to Dragonthia’s towers. The gates opened to allow five thousand horses, a girl, and her Guards through. People cheered.

The next day some of the footmen clambered onto all of the horses except one. A new soldier had just joined and reserved that horse for himself. The new soldier clambered onto Knight. They rode at a walk with footmen and Guards by their side. They reached the Molonthian’s home. They galloped down the hill, slaying only men. Knight bravely barreled into them. The new soldier, Pete, drove his horse towards the tower. He steered Knight around the spiral staircase and up to the Giant’s Chambers. Knight broke down the door. Pete was ready, his long, four foot sword glinting. He stabbed the Giant again and again. It swiped at him, injuring him badly.

The Giant was dead. The soldiers cheered. One of Pete’s friends noticed he wasn’t there. “Wait, don’t march! Pete’s missing!” Jack galloped up the Giant Stairs and found Pete lying on the floor, blood dripping from a wound in his side. Knight was injured too, but she could walk.

The doctor found out that Pete was a girl and told the king, who wanted to make the girl the princess because his wife died before she had her baby. Patricia woke up. “Where’s Knight? Is she okay?” She sat bolt upright. “Your chestnut mare? She’s fine, only some scratches… princess.” “What?” “You are known as Princess or Knight of Dragonthia.” “Knight is the Knight of Dragonthia. I am the Princess.”
