“Wait up!” called Morgan. I turned around and saw my best friend running towards me. “What?” I asked. “Can you come over today? I need to practice jumping with Star and I thought you would like to ride.” Morgan replied. I thought about the offer. I really wanted to go home so I could visit The Land of the Unicorns. But I loved riding Star...... “No I’m busy. Last week of school so I have to baby sit Alex.” I lied. “Okay. See ya later!” Morgan cried. As soon as Morgan walked away, I took off, running towards home.

“Mom, I’m home!” I called as I walked into the kitchen. Alex looked up from his PSP. “Mom’s working in her garden.” He told me. “Aren’t you supposed to be doing homework?” I asked. “I only have a little bit of math!” Alex whined. I heard a door slam and turned around. “Hello everyone!” Lilly announced. The fifteen year old skipped into kitchen and opened the pantry. “Who ate all the cupcakes?” Lilly asked. She looked at me and Alex. Alex looked down guiltily. “Alex!” Lilly cried. “I was hungry!” complained Alex. Lilly grumbled and looked back into the pantry. “Anyone want some Oreos?” “Sure” I replied. I dumped my backpack on the floor and got out my history book. I was having history test and it was the last chance to pull up my history grade. Right now I have a B-. After I studied for a little while, I put my history book away and ran up to my room.

I opened my secret box and pulled out the ball and key that I used to get to The Land of the Unicorns. I did the usual routine. First, I put the key in the keyhole that was on the ball. Next I twisted the key. Finally, a big cloud funnel swept me away to The Land of the Unicorns. I felt the wind in my face as the funnel swirled around me. Finally, the cloud funnel disappeared and I was in The Land of the Unicorns. I saw Rosie, a pinkish purple unicorn mare, and her colt Brazil, running towards the big steel building where unicorns goes when Tara, an evil girl who wants The Land of the Unicorns, attacks. “Rosie! Why are you going there?” I asked. “It’s my job to wash it.” Rosie answered. I nodded and looked around. “Bye Rosie!” I called as I walked away. I walked over to the cloud houses, where the unicorns lived, and turned onto Royal Helpers Street. Each cloud house had a sign that had the name of the unicorn that lived in its name on it. I saw Blaze’s, a unicorn I knew, cloud house. Then I saw Wish’s cloud house. Wish is my favorite unicorn. She was the one who had brought me here in the first place. I walked towards her door. “Wish! I’m here!” I yelled. Wish walked out of the cloud house and trotted up to me. “Hello Sandra.” Wish said. “Are you busy today?” I asked Wish. “No.” Wish replied. “Then, can we go flying?” I asked shyly. Wish threw up her head and let off a snort. “Of course!” she cried. I hopped onto Wish’s back and we took off, into the clouds.

“Let’s go over there.” I suggested. “Okay.” Wish said. Wish flew to the right and flew under the clouds. I looked down and felt my stomach flip flop. Below us was a terrible sight. “What is it?” I choked. “That Sandra is The Land of the Pegasus’s.” Wish whispered. I saw pegasus’s pulling carts down black streets. There was barely any grass throughout the whole land. The place was dark and all the buildings were steel. I gulped. Wish looked sad. “Can we do anything to help them?” I asked. Wish was silent. “Maybe.” she finally said. “Do you want to go down there?” Wish asked me. I hesitated. Then I slowly nodded. “Yes.” I replied in a whisper. Wish flew down slowly and before we knew it, we were at the gate of The Land of the Pegasus’s.

A golden pegasus mare saw us. She walked towards the gate. I held my breath as the mare typed in a code and the gates swung open. “Hurry up and come in before Tara spots you.” the mare whispered. We quietly followed the mare to a steel house with a sign in front that said Marigold and Daisy. The mare checked to make sure no one was watching then she opened the door. “Come in.” she told us. Wish walked in and the door slammed behind us. The mare sighed with relief. Then she turned to us. “I am Marigold. I have a daughter named Daisy and I was wondering if you could help.” Marigold said. I dismounted and walked into a room. Inside was a light yellow filly. Something was weird about that filly though. Besides her white mane, tail, hooves, and wings, there was a sparkling white horn. “Why does she have a horn?” I asked Wish. The filly heard my question and trotted up to us. “I am a pegicorn which means I am half unicorn, half pegasus. Oh and by the way, I’m Daisy.” the filly explained. “Hi Daisy!” I said. “Hello Daisy. Now Marigold, what did you want us to help with?” Wish asked. “Can pegicorns have rights in The Land of the Unicorns?” Marigold asked. Wish nodded. “Well, Daisy is going to be a yearling in two months and I don’t want her to suffer because of Tara like the rest of us. Could you maybe sneak Daisy into The Land of the Unicorns?”

Silence filled the steel house. “We’ll do it.” I said suddenly. “We will?” asked Wish. “Yes we will.” I declared. Daisy happily danced around the room. “Thank you so much!” the filly cried. I smiled as I saw how happy Daisy was. Wish saw it too and looked at me. “How are we going to sneak her out of here?” Wish whispered. I shrugged. A bell started ringing outside. Marigold looked out the window. “Get out of here fast. Tara will be coming soon. I climbed on Wish and we zoomed out of there as fast as we could.

“What are we going to do?” I asked Wish. Wish snorted. “Maybe we can get Imogen to help.” She replied. We were flying back to The Land of the Unicorns. I sighed. “Let’s go see if we can find her.” I said. Wish nodded and landed onto the ground. I walked around, searching for Imogen. I spotted her talking to Rosie. “She’s over there, talking to Rosie.” I told Wish. Wish and I walked over to Imogen. “Hi Imogen. Can you help us with something?” I asked Imogen. “Sure what is it?” Imogen replied. I told her about Daisy and how we had promised to sneak her into The Land of the Unicorns. “Wow! So how can I help?” Imogen asked when I finished. I looked at Wish. “Meet at my cloud house tomorrow at 2:00.” Wish said. I walked over to Wish’s cloud house. Wish was in her front yard with Imogen, Rosie, and Blaze. “Blaze! I didn’t know you were coming!” I cried. Blaze nickered. “Do we have a plan?” Rosie asked. I forgot about the plan! Wish looked at me. “No……” I said slowly. Wish pawed the ground; you could tell she was embarrassed. “Let’s go anyway,” Imogen said. “After all, how hard can it be?” “There it is.” said Blaze. I looked down and gulped. I saw The Land of the Pegasus’s. “Let’s go down.” I said. Wish flew down along with Blaze and Rosie. Imogen was riding Rosie and I was riding Wish. When we landed, I looked in the gate. “How are we going to get in?” I asked. Rosie looked around until her eyes locked on something. “Maybe that key would let us in.” Imogen was searching the door. “Here’s a code puncher.” Imogen said, pointing to the code puncher. “But we don’t know the code.” Blaze reminded us. Wish looked at the key. “Let’s try the key.” Wish said. Rosie flew up and grabbed the key. She handed it to Imogen and Imogen tried to get the key into the lock. “It matches the keyhole, but the key is too big!” Imogen cried. Blaze snorted. “Not for long!” Blaze said. “Big or small, grow a little taller!” The keyhole grew big enough for the key could fit. “Wow!” I exclaimed. Wish and Rosie looked at Blaze. “How did you learn that spell?” they said in unison. “Leela.” He answered. Leela was the princess of the unicorns. “Come on!” Imogen urged. Wish pushed open the gate and we walked into The Land of the Pegasus’s.

I walked next to Wish. The black streets seemed even blacker. I noticed that there wasn’t any pegasus’s on the street. “There’s no one here.” Imogen whispered. Blaze snorted. Then out if the corner of my eye I saw a dark brown pegasus wearing a black blanket. The pegasus whipped around and ran towards Tara’s castle. I had a bad feeling about this. “Hello?” We all turned around to see Marigold looking at us. “Hi Marigold,” Wish said. “This is Blaze, Rosie and Imogen.” Marigold nodded. We quietly walked towards Marigold and Daisy’s house. “There they are!” a voice cried behind us. I whipped around and saw Tara riding the dark brown pegasus. “RUN!!!” I screamed. I hopped on Wish and the mare and I took off. Tara and her pegasus ran behind us. “Come on Joe,” I heard Tara mutter. Wish flew up to a narrow edge on a building. We were beginning to draw a crowd. Tara had another pegasus fly up in front of us. The edge was too narrow to turn back. Wish slowly flew up, but Tara had put a solid roof of brick above us. Wish pointed her horn at the pegasus. “Move away when I say,” she mumbled. A huge wind blew the pegasus out of our way. We galloped down the edge. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Blaze in the others heading towards the gate, with Daisy right behind them. I leaned over to Wish’s ear. “They got Daisy.” Wish nodded and flew off the edge. Tara and Joe flew up in the sky. “Don’t leave,” Tara said. “You’re going to miss the party.” Joe surrounded us with a ring of fire. And he put party hats on our heads. There was no way out of the ring of fire. Wish whipped around, trying to find a way out. Joe had also put a floor of fire underneath us. The Blaze zoomed by. He quickly put out the fire. Wish mumbled some and the wind knocked Tara off Joe. “Take that Tara!” I called over my shoulder as we flew away.

“Thanks guys,” Daisy said. Imogen smiled. “No problem.” I glanced over at Rosie, who was writing Daisy on the sign in front of Daisy’s new cloud house. Daisy watched Rosie carefully. I stroked Daisy’s neck. “Hope you enjoy The Land of the Unicorns.” And I smiled, because we were finished saving Daisy. I hope you enjoyed the story!
