Our first-ever coloring contest drew over 1700 votes our members cast for 18 entries. Our winner this round is Lacey12 & Lacey who earn 1000 Wiggins bucks.

Our July story contest winner -- chosen by voting members -- will get 2500 Wiggins Bucks. Our runners-up will each get 1000 Wiggins Bucks. This is Club PONY Pals so there should be a pony or horse in it somewhere.  If you want to earn a new saddle, this is one way to do it.

Pony Pal Britnie has persuasively argued for a poetry contest. For more information, you can see our  forum posts of the week below and read some details about guidelines for poets. That contest's deadline for entries is August 14th.

And we have a brand new contest: our Pony Pal Parent Postal Testimonial. In 250 words or less, have your parent or guardian write us about why they like ClubPonyPals as a site for....you!  Our deadline is August 22nd, 2009 for us to receive letters by email. First place will be awarded 1000 Wiggins Bucks, next runners up will be 500 Wiggins Bucks each.

Our daily late afternoon chats are really popular. Usually the admin is online chatting between 6 pm and 8 pm EST. Whenever you log on, if you see a title that says "Live moderated chat going on now. Click here to join!" you can check it out. When you click on those words you will be taken to a moderated chat window. Our same forum rules apply. That means no last names, no personal information and nothing mean or creepy.

There were two new entries this week to our "Best YouTube Video about ClubPonyPals" contest. Each month we will award 500 Wiggins Bucks to the player who posts the best video about our club. YouTube is a site that has all kinds of content on it and you will need your parents permission to go there. Please make sure and ask your parents!! If you do get permission, you can go to YouTube and search for Club Pony Pals. There are four videos already there. They are automatically entered! Be creative!

This week's high scoring players for math games got 100 Wiggins bucks, the next nine high scoring players got 50 Wiggins Bucks each.

Start solving those math mini games in Pam's game collection in Crandal's barn loft. 

Our weekly jigsaw art contest is still going. Each week, our winner gets 100 Wiggins Bucks, a bumper sticker and a bookmark that is redeemable for some virtual pony treats on the sign in page where it says "coupon code."

Our avatars will be ready soon, a totally remade personal page is almost done and we are starting to sketch out a way for members to ride together.

This is a jigsaw entry. The website rocks. Ask Mrs. Crandal if she knows anything about barrel racing. Also please ask her if she knows about **** Riders in Oregon. And does she know about Parelli. Can she tell me if she can tell me how to keep my horse on the correct side of the barrel because when I want to go on the left side of the 2nd barrel my horse wants to go on the right side.

About 3 weeks before the first incident my mom got a beautiful grey and white paint quarter horse stallion named Spirit. He was green broke but stunning. My sisters gelding appaloosa gelding Checkers needed a buddy so Spirit became his buddy. I was out feeding the horses and suddenly a tractor back fired, spooking Spirit and Checkers. Spirit started to kick. And one kick hit me in the side. I couldn't breath then Checkers trampled me. I felt his little hooves run over my back. I managed to stand up some how and reached over to my side were Spirit had kicked me. I felt something wet and warm meet my hand. I pulled my hand away and saw blood I hobbled in the house and called my mom. She rushed me to the ER and I had to get 4 stitches in side and 4 out side of the gash. (wow who ever said a paper cut is the worst kind of pain never got kicked by a horse!)

The doctor said "No riding horses or running around you need to rest." But I wanted to go to my hunter jumper show the next day. Me and my sister were running around in the yard the next day well stupid move for me. I went online to club pony pals and went to the live chat and suddenly the side of my white shirt turned red! ugh oh. And again mom rushed me to the ER. I had busted two inside stitches and one out side stitch.  The doctor replaced the inside and then put 2 staples on the out side and said "This time sit still!" I was bored in the house till a few days later..............

My best friend Samantha called me and said her new 7 month old thoroughbred filly named Kasper (kasper was her moms grand moms name) the horses had gotten spooked at fireworks that had gone off and Kasper was injured!

Sam's mom was at work and my mom had taken my sister Ashley to her friend Jessica's Birthday party till 8:00 PM. Sam asked if I could come over to her house to help and I said yes so I ran to the barn and tacked up my Thoroughbred Swagger of a Champion. Champ was  the fastest and best jumper. We went through the forest behind the houses in between ours and there was several trees down Champ cleared them easily and the way Sam described Kaspers injury I figured we would need a vet so I brought my birthday money just in case.

By the time I got to Sam's house she had stopped the bleeding on kaspers leg and my side was killing me I looked and sure enough I busted my stitches again!

We called the vet and he said we were lucky he was at a farm an half an hour away and me and Sam added up our birthday money and we had $375 all together and I was telling the situation to every one on the CPP live chat. The vet showed up and numbed where my stitches would have been and put in temporary stitches then carried me inside and I was telling everyone on CPP live chat what had happened since I reported last and then we paid the vet and he left. Then I tried to get a hold of Sam's mom at work and then my mom. No luck with either. I called Jessica's house and nothing. Then on I got a call from Stacey Jessica's best friend and said my moms  car broke down. just my luck.

then on live chat my sister logged on Jessica's computer to the live chat and I told her what had happened and I asked her were mom is and she said out side and I lost my temper and said well get her retard! LoL

well when Jessica's dad got home her mom was able to bring my mom home and then I was talking to my mom on the live chat on the way home it took her 15 minutes or so to get home. Then Jessica's mom took me and my mom to the ER and the doctor told me he would need to put in 10 stitches on the inside and 7 on the out side and he told me "You could kill your self if you keep busting these stitches don't let it happen again or you could risk an infection."

It kinda made me think this hurts a lot so why keep busting them just to be put in them longer and longer time of no riding!!!! I'm gonna rest until I get these stitches out!  The vet told us Kasper will make a full recovery with no scar!! So every thing turned out ok so far........ Horse grl

Dear Gita To groom your horse 1 put the halter on it 2 clean all 4 feet (clean near side feet, then click on groom other side and clean off side feet) 3 curry your pony with the red curry on both sides 4 brush your pony with the brush on both sides If the brush won't work your horse is not completely curry combed. Once that is all done, you can saddle your horse. JC PS This is exactly how you do it on a real pony too. If you have more questions about gameplay log in to our game and ask them here.

Hi again pam! You will never guess what! since you have helped me with the horse thing in a few years i'm getting not a horse but a pony!!!!My dad said he would finally say yes,so now i have to prove i am responceible.If you could help me with websites to go to to find out all that i need or if you had the time, could you tell me.I have a place for the horse but, there is a big gag in it with a pipe and stuff should i fence that so that the pony couldn't get in there or what should i do?Also i'm concerned that our neighbors would complain about the smell, although theres already two horses on our street, we don't get a smell so how can i make it so my neighbor across the stree won't smell anything.One last thing my neighbor has CATS and lots of em' she lets them louse around the neighborhood so how can i dodge them getting around the pon and a bunch of my neighbors the have dogs and alot of them too and the let them stroll around here too how can i doge them?Thanks so much for reading this really long letter i hope you will reply! Ive got some stuff to do to prepare bye!

Dear ms. B It is a gift. Story time -- Last week one of my horse trainer friends in California had just finished working her horses in the morning. She went back to her house and took a shower. Her grown up son was in a house trailer next to the by her horse barn road studying. Her horses were lazing around in the heat. One second peace and quiet. The next second a light plane dropped out of the sky and SMASHED into the ground. A HUGE CRASH. Then silence. It was only 30 feet from where her son was studying. It was only 50 feet from her national champion arabian show horses. The miracle? No one on the ground was hurt. The pilot and his passenger died. Instantly. There was no ifs ands or buts. They were in pieces. That was very scary. And for two days everyone in the neighborhood talked of little else. It seemed like no one felt comfortable with that reminder that the illusion of our lives continuing forever is just that...an illusion. And that each moment has risks no matter what you do. Whether you take a bus to school or ride your pony or drive on the freeway, every second of every day is both a risk and an opportunity. That you draw breath and get to do things on this beautiful earth is a gift. The time we have here is a blessing, a limited time offer. I try to remember that on both the bad days and the good days. Yes, even grownups have bad days. But I have never had a bad day where things did not get better after it. Thanks for writing, I hope tomorrow is a good day for you. JC

Hello JC! oh my gosh! JC you r one of my heroes. i just read the things you said about our lives and it is sooo beautiful.That is so true. ppl r having some hard times right now with this economy and they need to here that. i may copy that and send it out to ppl on email if its ok with you. my family owns a house building business and its not going as well as it was before. we have about 3 or 4 houses we are building compared to the 30 houses in earlier years.i worry and i was talking to my bro and sis about it the other day and they said not to worry because worrying is a waste of time and it never makes things better. my bro said we need to not worry but take in the plan god gives to us and try if we can to make the thing we r worrying about better. we need to make the most of the life god gave us and not worry about the little things. there is a saying my mom loves: If God brings you to it, He'll bring you through it! Thank you soo much JC i hope to see you at the chat tonight! MJ PS. i believe horses and animals in general can help us through these things, caz they always want to be there for us and help us go on in ourlives and know we r never alone. =)
