Delaney and Blondie

Don't you think that Delaney's pony
looks a lot like Snow White? Delaney writes, "In this picture it looks like Blondie's saying 'Hey. Lets go!'"

Game Testers Still Signing Up

Last week Jane Crandal found that there are many Wiggins Weekly readers and volunteers who are willing to help test a new Pony Pals game. But she would still like to hear from some more.

"Watching the artwork get built makes me really happy," Crandal said. "I can't wait to hear what testers think."

"Wiggins is so beautiful, and everyone working on this game is wondering how testers will react," she laughed.

All testers need a broadband internet connection and a computer to try out the game . The game does not require downloading anything. It is played completely on the internet, inside a browser.

Updates about the game and its testing process will be posted here in the Weekly. Anyone who was selected to be a tester will get an email soon with more information.

Picture It

The story so far....

Ponigirl writes:
In the picture it looks like the horse is saying, "What's that? Is it edible?"

Pam Crandal writes:
Meredith tells her horse, "You silly, I'm learning to drive…."

NB Elementary writes:
"You'll hurt my feelings. Why are you riding that funny little machine instead of me?" whinnies Squirrel.

Pam Crandal writes:
Meredith laughs. Then she says, "You are too big for me, Squirrel. I want a pony. Then I would ride with the Pony Pals, and...."

Summer F. writes:
"I'm not too big!" neighs Squirrel. "I'm just the right size!"

Lulu Sanders writes:
Meredith thought Squirrel was funny. She looked very serious. Really she was trying not to laugh. Then she said, "Some little ponies want to be big horses. You're lucky to be so big. "

Summer F. writes:
"I am not too big!" yelled Squirrel. "See, I can lay down and you can just hop on!"

Anna Harley writes:
Squirrel sniffed the ground with his nose. He pawed the dirt and bent his front legs. Then he bent his back legs. Whump. He was on the ground. "Its nice down here," Squirrel thought. "While I'm down here I'll ...."

Isabelle M. writes:
"... just eat some of this clover. Hey when are you getting on?????!"

Anna Harley writes:
Meredith looked at Squirrel decided maybe jumping on without a saddle or bridle could mean problems.

Isabelle M. writes:
"Ok Squirrel I will go home and see if I can find someone to ride you."

Anna Harley writes:
Meredith drove off to the barn. When she got there she was really surprised because she found...

LETTERS TO PAM

Hi!! I'm sooo excited about the new virtual pony pal world aren't you? You are soo lucky you're one of the pony pals! Please write back soon. Your pony loving friend, Jeanne (JJ)
PS. When does the virtual world come out? Also, where do I subscribe to the testing thing?

dear pam,I really like your pony lighting! I wish I could have a connemara pony too. and how is lighting doing? Deanna

Dear JJ and Deanna
Wow thanks for your letters!I'm so glad to hear from you!

It's been pretty crazy around here with my Mom spending all her time working on the Pony Pals game. It's exciting, too. When one person in a family is working a lot, the others have to pitch in and help.

This week I even pretty much made dinner twice so she could give lessons and work instead of cooking!(We had fish sticks and oven fries and a salad for one meal, for the second one I cooked frozen lasagne and made another salad. I like cooking sometimes, then my Dad did the dishes!)

My Mom told me that a small part of the Wiggins virtual world will come out soon for testers to try. Then the world will start to get bigger as more and more parts get built.

Riding will be a big part of that world. You will get to see what my home town looks like. You can groom and take care of a pony. It is really going to be fun!

Lightning is good. I took her out on trail this week and she stepped on a rock so she was a little lame for a few days. My Dad said that it was a 'stone bruise' so I kept her in her stall and the paddock for three days. Now she is fine and I got to ride this weekend.

Write back and tell me how you are doing.

Pony Pals,

LETTERS TO LULU

Dear Lulu,
How's Snow White? Write me back when you get the chance.
Victoria

Lulu
HEY WUT
Kira

Hi!!! OMG!!! I CAN'T believe I'm talking to Lulu Sanders!!!!! I love the pony pals and I can't wait to get your reply for this e-mail! Do you want to be friends? Can you ask Pam if she wants to be my friend too? This is the best day ever! Can I join the Pony Pals club? You guys are in so many books! Well I gotta go. Bye! Your pony loving friend, JJ

Dear Victoria, Kira and Jeanne

It's been so long since I got any letters I thought everyone had forgotten me! Then this week I got three from you guys and a letter from my Dad in Africa, saying he was coming back to Wiggins for a few weeks this summer. I feel really happy.

Snow White is great. She and Acorn have been working hard at riding because we are practicing for a big show later this month at Olson's. I want to ride her in gymkhana events and we are practicing for the pole bending and barrel races.

This week we have been helping Ms. Wiggins clean out an old part of her barn. There were lots of old pieces of equipment, dusty old horse blankets and what Ms. Wiggins called "detritus." I think that means junk. She's making us new matching periwinkle blue shirts to wear at the show. She special ordered the fabric -- it has sparkles in it!

I'm glad you've read so many books about us. When you're in a book it is weird sometimes because people know so much about you and they know you as a friend, but you don't know much about them. Write back and tell me what's going on with you!

Your friend,

P.S. 2 Kira - WUT R U up 2? L

P.P.S. JJ - Pam said to tell you that you're now official friends.

LETTER TO ANNA

Dear Anna
Hi.I'm Jeanne but you can call me Jay because it's not only the first letter in my name but it's my favorite bird. I hope we can be friends so I could be a pony pal too. We would have so much fun e-mailing back and forth to each other. Hope you say yes! Gotta go! Bye! Your pony loving friend, Jeanne

Dear Jeanne

You have the same first name as another friend. She is an author who writes books. Some of them are about us!

Club Pony Pals is the best way to find other Pony Pal friends.

My favorite bird is a robin. I like how they hop around looking for worms in pastures at Olson's Horse Farm.

Pony Pal & your friend,

Filly Friends Club
Hey WebMaster! My friend Coley and I were reading your latest Wiggins' weekly and saw the girl who had the Horses E-A-C, an that reminded us to tell you about our club (which only has 2 people in it: in hopes of getting more). our club is called the FFC ( filly friends club) and we've had it for a while now. We have it outside at my house and talk about our weekly experiences with horses. We also sometimes have problems to work out in the club. To be in the club you have to
love ponies and everything about them (of course), be willing to work out problems. Those are a couple of the things you have to do. really, the important thing is just to love horses.
See yah later,
Audrey & Coley

Pony Pals2
My friends and I have arranged a club called Pony Pals2. We take turns being pony pals. My last shift was Pam! Even though we don't have ponys we either use some from my friends riding lessons or we pretend.

This Week's Pony Pal Photos

Aphrodite, and her horse, Dream

Delaney writes "in this picture it looks like Blondie is saying, 'Yeah. It's jumping time.'"

NB Elementary

I'm Madison. My sister, Meredith, and her friend, Michael, want to be PP club members They also want to be game tester.

P. S. Our barn party photos will get to you asap...today's the last day of school.
Mrs. S.

The Wiggins Weekly is still looking for the photos of your NB Elementary Pony Pal barn party.

There is still room for more game testers. If you want to test the game, you must be able to connect to the internet with your computer. Club Pony Pals' online game has lots of pictures, so players will have to have 'broadband' or 'high-speed' access to the internet.

To volunteer to become a tester, Club Pony Pals members should email Club Pony Pals and write a note that says "I want to be a game tester." Each tester will who is signed up will get an email this week with more information.

Until then the Wiggins Weekly is the best way to find out what is happening with the game.
