Free Forever
By: Alen
Age:
“I hate you.”
Your words stung like a million thorns.
I felt your hatred for me at worst.
You hit me so hard,
I could not see,
Why I ask,
Did I ever do?
You wanted me for fame,
You had no care in the world.
You saw I could not do,
What you wanted me to do.
So now I am being taken away,
Somewhere I do not know.
I wish I had a better life.
I wish I could change the past.
Now I stand with other horses,
They warn me,
The say they will hurt me.
I am terrified,
As the make their way toward me.
I am trapped,
And have no where to go.
They stare at me and spit,
“Do it.”
I stare in horror,
As the insert a sharp thing into me,
And then,
I am free.
Free forever.
*If you didn’t understand the end, the horse is put down by cruel people, and at that moment, the horse is free from all the pain it’s been through.*
