August Story Contest

Midnight part 1

I was scared.  The men were chasing me.  They were trying to catch me.  The girl was a good rider.  I know they will catch me, but I am not giving up.  They caught me and I am in a metal thing with two more horses.  They told me their names were Chestnut and Starlight.  They told me that I would be May’s new horse.  They said that Chestnut was May’s sister Jasmine’s horse.  May was nice.  She told me that my name was Midnight.
I was put in the stable and May tacked me up and took me outside to ride me.  Even though I was wild, I was good so I could stay at Shining Star Stable.  My stall was in the middle of Chestnut’s and Starlight’s.  I was glad to be with them all the time.  They are my only friends here at Shining Star.  I was on a trail ride one day with Chestnut, Starlight, and a new horse named Crystal when I fell and hurt my leg.  It was broken!  I had to stay in my stall and rest until it was better, but Chestnut, Starlight and Crystal told me what was happening around the barn.
I galloped around the pasture.  I was in my stall so long.  I am happy to be with Chestnut, Starlight, Crystal, and the new horse Penny.  Penny is really nice.  She was wild like me.  I like her.  There is another new horse named Pepper.  Both of them are new to Shining Star Stable.  Penny, Crystal and I are all going to have foals soon!  The foal’s fathers are going to be Starlight, Pepper, and Chestnut.
The foals are named Prince, Gold, and Princess.  They are all friends.  They like to play together.  Right now Chestnut and Jasmine, Penny and Molly, Starlight and Rose, Crystal and Rachel, Pepper and Jane, and May and I all are going on a trail ride with the foals.
