      We’re up next
        To fly around the jumps
To clear them not to knock them
The rider finishes with two faults
And we walk into the ring
        I pat my horse’s shoulder
        And start the course
I know nothing but my horse and the jumps
We head to the first and clear it with ease
The seconds taller but we fly over it
The next one has height but also length
We clear it and we’re on to the next
        We clear it
Now all that’s left is the combination
        He shortens his stride
        And we’re over the first
He takes one stride and we’re clear
We go to the arena and get our prize
        First today, first tomorrow
