The Stallion of the Night Star Herd

The sound of hoof beats could be heard in the mountains of WY. As a young grey stallion galloped hard along the arm of the mountain. He was a mustang his grey matted mane streamed out behind him and now the one thing on his mind was to hide! He was being chased by 10 men on horseback and inch by inch they gained on him! As the young stallion galloped he saw a mouth of a cave being a wise mustang he knew better than to run in a cave men or no men. So he stopped just long enough to give it a good big sniff. No mountain lions no wolves. Once inside he trotted to catch his breath. He hoped to hide in the back for awhile. As he trotted his eyes became accustom to the dark he trotted for about 20 minutes when he saw a light.

Was it the end of the cave? he wondered or..... He noticed that he began to walk on grass he looked behind him there was the rocky ground of the cave but grass ahead? He began to back up when something told him GO GO on! So not knowing why, he walked slowly on. As he walked things began to happen the grass became greener and flowers began to pop up around him and he was watching the ground as he walked and *BUMP* his head hit something was it the back of the cave? He looked up NO it was a tree! He moved around and walked on. Then a breeze began to blow it blew his mane out and it became the purest silver in the world and so soft that it would of taken us hours and hours of brushing! His dirty grey coat became pure white! Of course he could not see this he was watching ahead when he felt something happening to his forehead!

What he could not see was that he had now a unicorn's horn light blue with purest silver stripe. His hooves also became silver. He walked when all of the sudden he took one step and the cave was gone and he was in the most Beautiful world that you can imagine! The grass was the perfect green the sky OH such a clear blue and OH OH OH the water it was so clear and so blue that at first sight you would want to run and jump in! He for some strange reason, realized that he knew his name was Stardust . He never had a name before so this was new. He walked up to the pool and my, what a surprise to see himself a unicorn! All of the sudden he knew that he, along with 11 other unicorns was going to save their herd and land from evil he knew that he had special powers. He knew he came from another world but he did not know his past only his here and now. In the middle of all these thoughts a voice barked Who are you what do you want?

Dark riders

StarDust whirled around to see two unicorns their heads forward and horns down. One was the most beautiful unicorn he had ever seen (she) was a light light pink so light that it was almost a cream but enough to see its true color. she had a pink mane and tail too. The other was a reddish brown more Reddish than a chestnut and a gold mane and tail.

I said "Who are you?" Said the first unicorn! Suddenly he knew her name Pearl? He said. Surprised, but she did not show it pearl said
" Yes, and who are you?" My name is Stardust! and without even thinking he reared up and brought his two front feet down together.
StarDust, the other exclaimed "You have come!"
"Yes Dawn!" said Stardust Surprised at how quickly he knew her name.
"I apologize!" said pearl. "You can't be too careful these days!'
"Yes!" said Stardust. The next 10 min. were passed by the 3 talking when Dawn said Listen I hear her voice was lost in shouts and whinnies as alas 10 black figures emerged from the very woods StarDust had come from! The Men wore black robes and rode Black unicorns with red manes and tails and Red hooves with black horns and red stripes and red eyes. The Dark riders stopped and stared and Stardust, Pearl and Dawn stared till Stardust Shouted RUN!

And that is how it all began you may have guessed the 10 Dark riders are the men that chased Stardust and they saw a fleeting glimpse of him going into the cave so they followed. You see in the unicorn world peace had come after a HUGE fight between evil unicorns and good unicorns. Now not long after the victory a reader of the stars came to the herd leaders and said that he read the stars that night and they showed a time when an evil would come to the world and that only 12 unicorns would save them and one would come from another world who would lead them.

So as the years went by one by one a filly or colt would be born with a sign on her or his hoof and now back to the story. They turned and galloped off the dark riders stood then galloped after them. They galloped into the mountains twisted trails when they came to a fork in the trail. Pearl went right and Dawn went left Stardust stood in the middle confused he knew were they went but not who to fallow Pearl
"Are you mad!" cried Dawn "We need to go back to the herd!"
" NO!" Pearl cried "It would reveal our hiding we will send the signal!" they galloped after Pearl up and up to the top of the mountain only it was not a mountain it was a square and flat at the top they ran to the edge and looked toward the green river valley
"Now!" said pearl and they all touched their horns together and when Stardust silver with blue stripe touched Pear's and Dawn's a blue stripe went up and when Pearl's pink with blue stripe touched Stardust's and Dawn's a pink stripe went up and when Dawns Reddish brown and gold horn touched Pearl's and Dawn's a gold stripe went up they swirled around and around each other till they came into a strong light.

Seconds later a answering signal came from the valley which meant Help is on the way hold on! then the dark riders began to come up the side but as pearl, Dawn and Stardust knew there was a way down in the back and they began to canter down it soon the chase was on the dark riders found the way down and fallowed them and across fields and fields they ran till they came to a river bank here Pearl, Stardust and Dawn turned to face their Enemies.
