The rocks crunched beneath Jane Crandal’s truck. There was a trailer behind it that held 10 horses and those ten horses were: Acorn, Anna Harley; Snow White, Lulu Sanders; Lightning, Pam Crandal, Twister, Kalsey; Lightning, Babyguy5; Frosty, Chelsea2; Gold Dust, Hope; Zendaya, Horsecrazygirl10; Allie, Horsecrazygirl11; and Moonbeam, Horsecrazygirl12. There was another truck and trailer driven by Dr. Bob Crandal DVM and that trailer held the other 10 horses part of the Pony Pal team. The horses are: Kit Kat, Horsecrazygirl100; Splash, Jack Crandal; Daisy, Jill Crandal; Pippy, Misspippy; Summer Solstice, Tamikia; Beauty, Scoutgirl; Ace, GummyBear; Whisper, Jamison; Chaz, LivingIsRiding; and Gypsy, Jennifer45611. All of these horses named were going to be in the horse show for raising Animal Abuse awareness.
“First class begins in 40 minutes, Pony Equitation, Walk Trot. Second class is Walk Trot Youth Equitation,” the loudspeaker person, Hannah Zaphoran announced.
“Anna, Lulu, Babyguy5, Chelsea2, and Horsecrazygirl11, you guys need to tack up for Pony Equitation,” Jane Crandal said. Anna grabbed her white saddle pad and her English saddle, her bridle and set off out of the tack room. When Babyguy5 walked in he noticed that Anna had left something.
“Anna,” he called. “You left your grooming supplies.”
“Oh yeah, thank you Babyguy5.” Lulu grabbed her stuff, but when she walked over with the hoof polisher to clean Snow White’s hooves she spooked and side-stepped.
“Woah, Snow White,” Kalsey told Snow White. “I’ll help you, Lulu.”
When they were done tacking up they headed for the ring. Chelsea2 and Frosty in the lead, Babyguy5 and Lightning second, Horsecrazygirl11 and Allie third, Lulu Sanders and Snow White fourth with Kalsey leading them just in case Snow White spooked again, and Anna Harley with Acorn last in line.
“Misspippy, Jill, and Jack you’re next,” Jane said. Then those three ran down the hill to the trailer.
“Class is now in session,” announcer, Tara Hutchinson said. “At the walk.”
Then the judge, Melissa Woolinson whispered to Tara to tell everybody to trot.
“Trot please all trot.”
When the class was done the ribbons were handed out like this.
“First place goes to Babyguy5 riding Lightning. Second place goes to Lulu Sanders riding Snow White. Third place goes to Chelsea2 riding Frosty. Fourth place goes to Horsecrazygirl11 riding Allie. Fifth place goes to Anna Harley riding Acorn. And Sixth place goes to Abigail Lake riding Comanche,” Hannah Zaphoran announced over the loudspeaker. “We will be starting Class 2, Walk Trot Youth Equitation, Jill Crandal, Misspippy, Jack Crandal, Jenna Gordon, and Sarah See.”
Jack walked in with the appaloosa, Splash. Jill walked in with the palomino, Daisy. With Misspippy riding in on Pippy.
“In first place we have Misspippy riding Pippy. Second Place we have Jill Crandal riding Daisy. In third place we have Jenna Gordon riding Fair Play. Fourth place we have Sarah See riding Now You See Me Now You Don’t. And in fifth place we have Jack Crandal riding Splash.
At the end the champions and the reserve champion was:
Champion: Kalsey riding Twister
Reserve Champion: Babyguy5 riding Lightning.
When loading, Ace bucked tearing the reins out of GummyBear’s fingers. Summer Solstice pinned his ears back, we call them Devil Ears. Then a helicopter flew through the air making Moonbeam, Twister, and Splash rear then jump from the spot they were standing.
