Chrissie and the Chestnut Beauty by Skittles

Chrissie Miller ran over to her father, Morgan Miller's horse barn. She was so excited!

You see, Chrissie came from a broken home, and she never saw her race-horse trainer father very often. Her mother, movie-star Marion Giouvan/Miller, let her go to her father's for one week in each month. This week, she was going for a campout.

 "Hey, that's my Chrissie girl!"

The voice knocked Chrissie out of her thoughts.

"Daddy!!!" She screamed joyfully and jumped into his loving arms.

"Oh, baby," her father said lovingly. "I missed you so much!!!"

After the glorious moment of reunion, Chrissie's father put her down, and looked into 6 year-old Chrissie's face and said, "Chrissie, I've got a surprise for you!" He looked at her, and she seemed tired.

"But first," he said. "We'll get a quick bite to eat in the kitchen." He looked at his daughter's doubtful face. He laughed. "It's OK. I will let you have the surprise after this!!!

 "OK." said Chrissie.

After lunch, they headed out to the stables.

Chrissie looked puzzled. "What gift would be out here, daddy?"

He pointed to a beautiful chestnut mare, grazing in his pasture..

"Oh, Daddy!" Chrissie gasped. "She's beautiful! What's her name?"

Her father smiled proudly and said, "Beauty. She sure lives out her name."

All Chrissie could do was nod.

'Beauty', Chrissie thought. 'I will be your friend, forever.' She silently promised.

10 years later, Chrissie still had her precious 14-year-old Beauty, a good friend of hers. To this day, her father still thinks of Beauty and his daughter, all grown up.

The best thing of all is, her mother and father reunited, and found their differences, They remarried.

Then they lived very, very, happily ever after.
