Old Sheba a full black 15.1h.h horse had just given birth to a foal. Elouise a tall dark haired girl was crying with joy, he was the most beautiful animal she had ever seen. The foal was dark brown with four stockings and black eyes. There in front of her stood the foul only a few minutes old, strong and curious.
“It is a miracle that he is alive” says, Susan the vet.
“Why?” Elouise asked wiping her eyes.
“If he was born any later he would died in the womb and killed old Sheba!” Elouise was silent, almost in a daze, impossible to think of life without Sheba. Interrupting the silence, Susan said: “What are you going to call him?”
“I think I’ll call him Miracle” answered Elouise happily. The little foal grew stronger by the day always greeting Elouise with a whiny and a bob of the head! From the start he was very playful and loved his food. Elouise know soon she had to start training him for the halter! The day came to quick for Elouise she knew that it was going to be a long day as she walked to the stable block Miracle got exited to see a new thing in Elouise had got! First he tried to eat it!
“Don’t do that you silly moppet!” Elouise said to Miracle. As Elouise put it on him he was not too sure what to do! After she had put the halter on him she put one on his mother Sheba and lead them to the field.
Elouise was humming to herself as she was taking Sheba and Miracle to the field for the first time. Miracle would experience free open space to run for he could only trot at the most in the stable. As Elouise walked down the path Miracle had to trot to keep up but, when they got there Miracle was unsure of this new green stuff. Elouise let lose Sheba hi his mother first. He hesitated to walk on it pulling back on his new halter.
“Go on boy” said Elouise. His mother was calling him. Then he bolted onto the field. Before taking them to the field Elouise did not have time to take down the one foot jump. After about a minute Miracle jumped over it and soared through the air and landed well, just like a professional! “He’ll be a good fast jumper said Kevin the stable hand startling Elouise!. “I think so, too!” she said quickly. Miracle was really enjoying himself in the field and Elouise enjoyed watching him!
