June Stables part 2 part 1

It had been six months since Lucy had met her friends Abi and Jess in that time they had become BFF”S and Abi’s horse Buttercup had, had a foal last week and now they can finally see the little foal without harming the bonds a foal and it’s mother need.

“So what are you going to call the foal, Abi? “asked Lucy well she groomed Thorn
“I want to see if it”s a boy or a girl first “said Abi
“Well lets do that now i”ve wanted to know for ages “said Jess.

The girls walked to Buttercup”s stall, when they looked in they saw Buttercup eating her hey  and the foal resting on the floor, Abi walked into the stall without Lucy or Jess in case Buttercup got angry at them for being there. after Abi found out she gave Buttercup a apple and left
“So boy or girl? “asked Jess
“Boy “said Abi
“Any name ide'”s? “ asked Lucy
“I was thinking Whisper “ said Abi
The girls looked back in Buttercup”s stall and they all knew whisper was the right name for him, ms Davis or aunt June to Lucy came up to the girls
“Got a name yet? “asked June
“Yes I”m calling him Whisper “said Abi
Buttercup puts her head out of the stall window as the girls call it
“That”s a lovely name, it won”t be long till you”ll need to find him a new owner “said June
“Mum said i could keep him as long as i do my homework “said Abi
“That”s very nice of her “said Lucy
“Nah she just wants Abi to do her homework “said Jess
Buttercup nugged Abi looking for more treats
“that reminds me i need to give Thorn his breakfast “said Lucy
“Yeah i need to give Midnight hers too “
Jess and Lucy walked to their horses stalls to feed them
“If i was you i”d find that Buttercup of yours “said June walking away. Abi fed Buttercup groomed her and changed the hey on the floor so she didn”t notice Lucy and Jess coming over.
“Abi what to go for a hack “
“Okay i”ll get Lightning out “said Abi
Abi had been riding Lightning for two weeks now and was used to her but ti really missed riding Buttercup
“Ii read somewhere that it”s fine to ride a horse the week after having a foal “said Lucy
“really? great “said Abi
the three friends got their tack and rode their horses to the pond they liked
“I've got brownies in my backpack “said Jess.
“And i've got lemonade “ said Abi.
“Wwell i've got horse treats “ said Lucy.
After the picnic the friends rode back to the barn because Abi hadn”t done her homework before she went to the stables and needed to do it.
“See you later Buttercup, bye Whisper", said Abi grabbing her bag and running home.
