Midnight part 2 part 1

    Beautiful Princess is a strong, healthy foal.  She is three months old.  She runs and plays in the paddock with The Charming Prince and Golden Princess (those are their show names).  May has started training her to have a halter on.  She does not like it but Chestnut is a show horse.  He told her “that you can only be a great show horse if you are a learning foal first”.
    May and Jasmine are home schooled.  They are home every day.  They usually ride us at about 2:00.  We get to be in the paddock most of the day.  Sometimes we go on a trail ride with Penny, Starlight, Crystal, and Pepper.  There are four new horses at Shining Star Stables.  Their names are Happy, Sweetie, Gallop, and Tiger.  I like Tiger.  She was wild like Penny and me.
    There is going to be a show at Shining Star!  It is called the Shining Star Stables Horse Show.  I think that is a good name for a horse show.  The show is in 2 weeks.  It starts at 7:00a.m. and is supposed to go until 5:00p.m.!  That is a long time!  The classes in the show are advanced jumping and flat, junior jumping and flat, beginner jumping and flat, and three special classes:  western trail, lead line, and pony challenge.  There are also classes for the babies.  They are jump and flat.
    It is the day of the show!  Me (A Star at Midnight), Chestnuts Chance, Gray Pepper, Crystalline Delight, Starlight Shining, Copper Penny, Happy Go Lucky, Cute Sweetie, Gallop the Fastest, and Sweet Tiger are all really excited.!  Beautiful Princess, The Charming Prince, Golden Princess, Brownie Delight (Sweetie and Happy’s foal), and Scarlet the Beautiful (Gallop and Tiger’s foal) keep asking us what time it is.  It is 5:45 right now.  Right now we are being groomed by May, Jasmine, Jane, Rachel, Roes, Molly, Abbie, Ivy, Peggy, and Mandi.
    May and I are in our first class.  It is junior jumping.  Then we will do junior flat.  We are doing both of the special classes in the junior section.  We are soaring over the jumps.  I am sure we will at least get second place.
    We got first in ALL the classes we were in except the pony challenge.  Starlight and Rose got second in jumping and Chestnut and Jasmine got third  Tiger and Mandi got second and Chestnut and Jasmine got third again.  We were really close in western trail but we did it.  Penny and Molly were really close and Chestnut and Jasmine got third again!  Why do they keep getting third?  My black mane tail and coat were gleaming in the sunlight.  That is why we got first place in lead line.  Happy and Abbie got second and Chestnut and Jasmine got third.  In the pony challenge Gallop got first because he is a race horse.  I got second and Sweetie and Ivy got third.  May hung all of my ribbons on my stall door and I was very proud.  I hope we get to go to another show soon.
