Fierce Freedom
By: britnie & shadow
Age 11

I was born to be Free,
I was born to be wild,
I was born to be fast,
I was born to be strong.

But yet I was caught,
by some odd creatures,
they beat me,
and rode me hard,
to try to break me,
but I never gave up,
and fought and fought and fought,
so finally they sold me.

I wanted to jerk my lead rope out of the girl-now-woman's hand,
but I didn't,
because I knew now that the best things in life,
are only earned by goodness,
and I was right.....

I now run with a herd,
through the high mountains,
across the grassy plains,
living the life of a
