Amy meets Star

Age 10Amy Ross walked down the barn aisle.Looking from side to side as she walked past the horses in their stalls."Beautiful..." She whispered.One horse cought her attention- An amazing black mare.She had a white star on her head.
Amy walked over to the stall and read the name plate, "Star.What a pretty name!" She said.Amy rubbed Stars neck ever so gently. Star snorted, she loved to be run.
"Amy, You'll be riding Star.She seems to have taken a liking to you, so groom her then tack up.Meet me in the riding ring in 10."
Amy smiled, "Yes m'am!" She said.
She walked ino the the tack room and grabbed Stars' purple halter.Walking back to Stars' stall she noticed on the side of the halter was Stars name. Amy walked into the stall and slid the halter over Star.
After the lesson Amy untacked.She grabbed a carrot treat and fed it to Star.Her mother walked outside the stall."Amy, your father and I have talked about it and...We've decided to buy you a horse!You know that horse that lives on Mr.Bakers farm?" Her mother said.
"Yeah..." Amy replied.
"Well, we're buying that horse!"
"But....I only want Star.I don't want just any horse, I want her." Amy said, hugging Stars neck.
"But dear....Star isn't for sale."
Her mother said."Fine, then I don't want a horse.My first horse should be my favorite,and I don't want that chubby pony that lives down the lane." Amy said, she wanted Star, not any other horse.
"Ok dear." Her mother replied.
And so, Amy continued to ride Star in her lessons.As the months passed, Amys' mother and Stars' owner worked out a deal.Amy would lease Star, and if her owner felt she was going to a good home they could buy her.
