Long ago I  was 5 and dreamed of owning my very own horse, having the best ranch and the most beautiful horses. Well, my dream is coming true.

Today I am moving from my apartment in Chicago to the northern woods of Wisconsin. We moved into a small area having only a couple of acres. The barn was small and worn down, the hinges of the door were rusted and looked like they were surly going to fall off. I said, "Mom, are you sure this is the ranch you bought? The house is a little old and the barn is horrible! We will never be able to keep a horse safely here!" "Just wait, we will be able to own a horse here," she told me with confidence.

A week later we had all our things put away neatly from moving. My father left to get some things from the store. I was looking in the barn to see how it was inside. The stalls were neat and practically unused. But the tack room and the storage room was horrible. Boards looked like they were going break. The storage room door must have fell off, it was placed in the back if the room. The tack room was the worst. The door was in place properly, the saddle stands were broken and leaning. The nails were loose, pieces of broken tack pieces everywhere. The whole tack room looked like a tornado went through it. My father finally got back from the store. I looked in the back of the truck, there were shiny new nails, hinges, boards of wood, anything needed to fix the barn, even new paint. We got to work right away. My father fixed the tack room, my mother fixed the storage room, and i painted the walls inside the barn. When I was done with the interior I painted the outside barn walls a deep brown. I stepped inside the barn after supper that day. The walls were shining with a beautiful white paint. I went to the storage room. My mother was sweeping away dust and hay on the ground. The storage room was finished. I walked into the tack room with the small of saddle soap and tack cleaning supplies.

My father said, "The owners before us bought a new english tack set but then it was hidden under 4 boards of wood. It's in perfect condition, just a little dust." Well, we had every thing done, exept, we need a horse and a trailer to get it here. "Follow me," my father said. I looked down the hill that leads to the house from the highway. There was a new trailer that fits two horses, and 2 horses were in it! "Happy Birthday!," he said to me. I ran towards the trailer even before it stopped. There was a bay arabain stallion and a pure white mare arabian. My dad led the stallion to the barn while I lead the mare. Right away I groomed the mare until it was spotless. I put fresh new hay into the stall for the mare. I also put the best leaf of hay in there too. I helped my dad put the stallion away. I named the mare Mystical Delight, Mist for sort. The stallion was already name Sea Mist, Sea for sort. Next morning I woke up at seven, I groomed Mist again and rode here. We grew the best bond. I went to a eventing show with her. We won first place. I left for camp. My dad promised to give her top care, best care in the whole world. He said," i will do my best but, you and mist have a great bond that can't be broken, I can't do it as well a you but I will do my best! Have fun!" I left for camp and i saw Mist watching me go over the hill and leave. When I go back from camp I heard the good news from dad. Mist might have a foal! My dad said i can rider her for 5 more months, then I have to walk her for exercise. After a long time the foal was born. it was as white as snow, just like the mother.

I lived on the ranch my whole life until I grew old. I still remember Mystical Delight, and now I have her grand foal. The grand foal is still as white as snow and has the heart of the perfect horse Mystical Delight.
