Dear Pony Pals:

This week everyone wants to know -- why are two metal barrels now in Crandal's barn aisle? There is a good reason.

Quests are coming to Wiggins. But what are "quests?"

One dictionary says that a quest is "a search or pursuit made in order to find or obtain something."

Actually, every day of their life, everyone does some kind of quest.

Someone goes to a store and buys something. They pick up an item in one place. Then they drop it off in another spot.

(Maybe I should tell Pam to pick up the dirty clothes in her room and drop them off at our washing machine as a quest --LOL!)

It may not look like anyone in virtual Wiggins goes on these kinds of daily errands. But it's really quite a busy place. There are always quests happening, from downtown to Crandal's and points in between!

Now it's time for our members to learn how to carry out some of these daily quests and help Wiggins' errands get done.  It could be that the farrier is coming to shoe ponies at Crandal's barn and will need help.  Or maybe Mrs. Crandal needs to have a pal go to a downtown Wiggins market and buy things for her.

Like they always do, our volunteer testers will have the first chance to try our new quests. If you want to be on our testers list, w-mail me and I will add your name.

So, just as soon as our quests are ready, our testers will see their first quest note on my barn bulletin board by where I put my outgoing letters. To see what quest needs to be done, they will click on that note.  For example, a quest may be a simple task, like saddling up a pony and riding along Pony Pal Trail to pick apples for Anna's mom.

No matter what a quest takes, once a member clicks on a quest note to accept it,  that quest's item list will be in a member's saddle bags' inventory. If  they want to know what they need to get, they can click on their saddle bags' note and see a list. How well do our members know Club Pony Pals? Where do members buy milk? Or 40 carrots? Or a weathervane? Can a member buy a particular postcard or must they have it given to them as a gift from another member?

Members ask me all the time "how do I earn more bucks?" Anybody who wants a saddle or more Wiggins bucks is missing out if they don't enter one of our contests! Details are below. We always need good cartoons, they should be in black and white.

Several big new coding projects are close to delivery. As soon as we are sure they work, our testers will be getting their special emails that ask them to try a feature first.
