“She is coming around the last bend! She in the lead!” They speaker said. But that was before the accident. “She is speeding up!! She is-”
The crowd all stopped cheering. Candy slipped in the mud.
“Medics NOW!” The speaker yelled. Two minutes later an ambulance came in, Vets following.
“Morgan! Wake up!” My parents yelled. They said something else, but I fell asleep before I heard it.
“Mom, Dad?” I woke up in the hospital. “Where is Candy?” I asked. They looked at each other.
“Honey, You will not be happy about this, But she is at the Vets. They are checking out her bones.” Mom replied.
“Is she okay?” I started to cry.
“We are not sure,” she replied. “Depending on the results, you might not be able to ride her ever again.” Mom looked at Dad. Then the nurse came in.
“How are ya, honey?” The nurse asked.
“I want to go see my Horse!” I yelled.
“Okay, Okay, You can go as long if you take these with you.” She handed me a bag of small baby carrots, and helped me up.
“Thank you.” I said. I ran out of the room, not even caring that I got dizzy.
“Mom! Dad! Come on!” I yelled. I got outside to the truck, Locked. “MOM, DAD! COME ON!” I yelled again. They came out, panting like dogs because they ran down the stairs so fast.
“Okay, We are here! Calm down!” Dad said.
“Please, I just want to see Candy!” I cried. Half an hour later we reached the Vet’s. The truck was not completely stopped when I got out.
I ran threw the door and asked the Vet up at the counter were the horse was.
“Room 3 outside.” The lady said. I ran outside just as my parents were coming in. “Slow pokes.” I thought to myself. I heard a Whinny, and then some people. 'WOAH WOAH WOAH!!!” they all yelled. Candy knew me, and could smell the carrots. I heard hooves. *Thud Thud Thud * Candy came cantering out to me. She looked fine, but tired.
“Easy girl!” I said. I stroked her long white mane, Hugging her.
“Who are you?” A man came out of the room.
“Im Candy's owner.” I said. He looked at me funny. “What’s in your pocket?” He asked.
“J-Just some carrots.” I took the carrots out of my pocket and handed the bag over to the Vet.
“Its okay, Just give them to her.” he smiled.
“Morgan! What’s wrong?” my Dad asked. “Nothing, that I know of.” I replied. My father looked at the Vet. “What’s wrong with her?”
