On the lunging ring, a girl with blond girl plaited in a perfect plait rode on a black mare. That may seem normal, well... It might have been normal, but that's if you call normal smacking your pony with a whip to make it walk. Many people said the girl was a good rider. She had won many show-jumping competitions. She may have seemed like a good rider, but if you looked closely you could see she wasn't one at all: the girl won those competitions because the ponies were so scared of her. She behaved like that to every pony.

"Daddy! I'm not going to ride this lazy horse! Sell it! Buy me a new one!" she shouted to her father. You are thinking it's impossible someone could be so spoiled, aren't you? Well, as you can see, unfortunately it is possible. What's more is what her father said: "Sure, Connie! Tomorrow we'll go to an auction, okay?"

So the next day the pony was put for sale. Connie got a new horse, but who knows, where he is now... Let's hope he's with his new good owners. Well, the black pony did get to new owners. But unfortunately, his story doesn't end here. It would be nice, but it doesn't... I guess you were hoping I'll say "and they live happily ever after", don't you? Well, I'd like to...

The mare got to a seventeen year old girl. They had a lot of fun together. But one day, Patience had to be sold. You're asking me why, aren't you? Well, the truth is , that Izzy had to go to collage. Her parents had a lot of work, so they couldn't look after Patience. Are you hoping she got to a good owner? Well, let's see!

The answer is... No. Let me describe her new owner. He was two timer taller and at least three times wider than normal people. His face was dark and because of his beard, you couldn't really see it. I don't really know, why this person wanted a pony, since he kept him in a place so small you wouldn't keep two dogs in. Patience didn't get her box mucked-out at all. She got food once a week and a bucket of water once in three days. She couldn't go outside at all! It was a terrible life!

In two weeks, the man finally decided to sell the pony. By now, Patience was very unhealthy and she longed for a real good friend. Do you think she finally got one?
Well, the man sold her to an eleven year old girl called Jenny. She had brown hair and kind brown eyes. She was the nicest person Patience could possibly meet. Finally she had a friend! And now, do you see why she was called Patience? Because she had to be very patient in finding a friend! Patient by name, patient by nature...

I wrote it when I was 9 years old.
Many Thanks,
