But, Ah, Alas, "Twas Only A Dream

I once had a pony,
and her name was Ice Cream,
but, ah, alas, 'twas only a dream.

She walked through a mud puddle,
dirty as dirt,
and she was as dirty as my dirtiest shirt.

So I gave her a bath
till she was cleaner than clean,
but, ah, alas, 'twas only a dream.

So, once she was washed, I tacked her up,
and rode her in a pasture at a swift gallop,
I loved that ride 'cause the field was so green,
but ,ah, alas, 'twas only a dream.
